Thoughts for Today

God is faithful. There are no other words to express how He is a faithful, loving, wise Father that has His best plans and interests for his children at heart.

This week I've been so encouraged by the words and wisdom of Women of Faith that God has placed in my life. One of which is a dear friend of mine's mother. This woman is fervent in her prayers and diligent about her tasks. Truly a picture of a Proverbs 31 wife - in the flesh. This week she has prayed over me, given me words of advice, and just loved on me in a whole new way. I'm so grateful to women like her and her faithfulness to the Lord. She knows and believes with everything in her that God knows best- and that in His time - everything comes to fruition.

SO good!

I've also been so blessed to have restored (to a certain degree) my relationship with my father over the past 6 or so months. What a testament to the will and plan of the Lord. As I grew up I never in a million years would have thought that I would ever have a relationship with my father. But God is so faithful, and knew the desire of my heart to have an earthly Father, just as I have a Heavenly Father. I was so encouraged to hear that my own daddy here on earth has been praying for me this week. Words cannot express my thanks and amazement that the Lord took a bitter, abusive, angry man and completely turned his life around to glorify God. How can anyone say that God is not real, when we see the works of His hands in the lives of people all around us?

God is faithful. Take heart in knowing that He is there for you, even when you cannot feel him or see him. He's there in the quiet, wiping away your tears and taking away your anxiety.

As it says in Ps. 139:23-24: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts... and lead me in the way everlasting."

And finally, be encouraged by what is said in Matthew 18:18-20: "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

AMEN! :-)
